Trientalis europaea

I was a child when I first met this beauty. Grandma took me with her to the near forest. -Plan was to pick some blueberries, but quite soon we found out that I didn’t like the idea of picking berries. Instead of that I observed things, like I still do.

Here in Finland we have named this small flower as a forest star, and I think it suits her well. Wonder what is her english name?

This individual was captured during our company’s spring trip last year. I was lying on the ground shooting flowers, and my colleagues were shooting me. (Don’t want to guess where those pics ended up…) However, that situation was a good example of the fact that we see things differently.

The flower is called either Chickweed wintergreen or Arctic starflower in english :).

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging! Glad to see a fellow photographer at work, looking forward to more!

Something funny going on with my own blog… not only did my entry from this morning disappear (no wonder you couldn’t comment it) but now I also seem to have lost the comment you made to the earlier entry. I promise I didn’t delete it! I re-created the entry, let’s see what happens.
