Pohjoista valoa etsimässä

Jälleen on yksi sangen epäkuvauksellinen viikonloppu takana. Tulin tuossa huomaamaan, jotta vuodessa on about 52 viikonloppua, joista suurin osa on kuvaamiseen sopimattomia. Milloin tuulee, milloin sataa, milloin taas on huono valo – loppuina kertoina sitten ei olekaan mitään kuvattavaa. Tänä viikonloppuna sattui olemaan kova tuuli ja ruma, liian kova valo.

Kuitenkin, jos kuvaamisen keskittää vain niihin hyviin hetkiin, niin voi jäädä silloinkin kuvat ottamatta harjoituksen puutteen vuoksi. Siksi mainitsemani 95 prosenttia on tärkeä luku, sillä sen ajan, mitä käytät kuvaamiseen tavallisissa, tylsissä olosuhteissa, saat taatusti kokemuksen myötä takaisin niitä jäljelle jäävinä hetkinä, jolloin olosuhteet ovat otolliset.

Peruskuvien kuvaamisella on siis sangen suuri merkitys kuvaajana kehittymisen kannalta. Silti on vain niin kertakaikkisen tylsää kerta toisensa jälkeen huomata, ettei näissä kuvissa taaskaan ollut mitään ideaa. Perustavaksi työnkuluksi onkin muodostunut: Open | Zoom 100% | Delete =))

It was rainy today, just like Forecastfox predicted, LOL! If you don’t happen to know, this hilarious Firefox plugin is known for its misknowledge and false weather forecasts. But, as we finns say: Even the blind chicken finds the grain.

This lonely Scilla is growing in our garden and it was so nicely covered with water drops that I couldn’d resist shooting it. I used the 300mm + 36mm tube with tripod and mirror lock up.

Sometimes you can believe what you’ve been told about things in the wild: The scent of the Daphne is worth finding the plant. Our dear friends do have a cottage nearby and I heard they have some daphnes growing in the forest. Today we took a ride there and oh boy how enchanting the scent of the flower was! The light was hard at noon and I wasn’t totally satisfied with the pictures I got, so I took my wife with me and we drove there again. Now I’m pleased with the light – The Northern Light, that I’m trying to capture in my pictures. Hope you like it!

The Brimstone then, yeah. The wings are not in the focus pane, which bothers me a bit. What I like in here, is the smooth and silky background and the texture of the butterfly. But, this is still the best shot by this far!

Coltsfoot is the one opening my flower shooting season. This one ain’t on its full bloom but it was photogenic enough to end up in my blog. I’m looking forward finding even more beautiful individuals to photograph!

The Green Hairstreak is one of my favourites among butterflies. Its green color is just wonderful! It’s like a smaragd :)
