Forget-Me-Not – a white one

It has been cloudy weather for a few days now. It doesn’t bother me that much if it’s also calm, but that is very uncommon in Pori. It is always windy here.. This beauty grows in a garden owned by elderly people. Didn’t ask for permission because there are no clear borders in between the garden and the public area. I used my 300mm lens, tripod and MLU.
Ringed Snake meets Water Strider

You have to shoot when you see some action in the viewfinder, no matter if there’s also some reeds in between you and the subject! This was the lesson learned today :P I didn’t have time to move the blocking reeds away, that’s why the crop tool got some use.
Here’s one shot with clear view:

I think the light is better here, but the strider is not present :(
Forget-Me-Not and The Woodland Strawberry

The blue color of this flower is like its brand name. What I’m trying to say is, that you must be very careful with the post processing, because the FMN-blue is very sensitive. The net is full of pictures with wrong white balance! I’m not saying this is The FMN-blue, but it’s quite close to the one in flower I found.
This one is more known of its taste than its beauty, but me thinks it’s still worth of shooting!
We wants to eat its berries, we wants it badly…
Equisetum arvense (and the first grey hair)

For many years I have been thinking about shooting the field horsetail in good light, and that day finally came! Sky was overcast and wind was calm enough.
I shot the first pics from tripod using self timer, but that ended up as a disaster. -Look at the former post.
Remote release was located in my camera bag, but the bag itself..was in the car! Hipidi-hopidi… What do they say when you begin to forget things and the first grey hair is reality? Anyways, it was a lovely hike with my wife today!
